The site was the proposed permanent spoil storage location as part of work for the N9/N10 road scheme. It covered four fields which were located next to the River Arrigle. The two fields located beside the river were overgrown with gorse and bramble and were extremely wet underfoot. The topsoil was removed entirely from these fields. The other fields were located upslope and were used for rough grazing; only the lower parts of these fields were stripped. No archaeological features were identified during the monitoring.
