Topsoil-stripping was monitored on a 49.5ha area being stripped for gravel extraction and associated access. The site was part of a group of gravel hills on which a large enclosure and a motte-and-bailey are situated (KD024–025 and –026). Both of these are outside of the proposed gravel extraction area. The latter monument is about 270m from the nearest part of the stripped area. No archaeological features or artefacts were uncovered.
