The proposed development site lies on the south side of the village of Waterville, on a narrow neck of land between Ballinskelligs Bay to the west and Lough Currane to the east. Three test-trenches were machine-excavated on-site in the area of the proposed development. No finds or features of an archaeological nature were noted during testing
