Pre-development testing was undertaken at the proposed development of 63 residential units, associated services and the construction of a new bridge to access the site at Ratass, Tralee, Co. Kerry. Five trenches were mechanically excavated and the stratigraphy encountered consisted of sod and topsoil coming down on to the natural layers. No features and/or artefacts of archaeological significance were revealed during the course of the excavations.
