Testing was undertaken as part of an assessment in response to planning conditions from the local authority for the construction of three wind turbines at an existing wind farm. One turbine location is 150m to the south-west of the zone of archaeological potential of a ring-barrow, KE016–073. Seven test-trenches were excavated by machine, measuring 8–15m long, 1.75m wide and with an average depth of 0.5m. No archaeological features were identified.
