Pre-development testing was carried out at the development of a slatted shed and associated siteworks, at Toberroe, Co. Galway. The proposed development is within a farmyard that is located in the area indicated on the RMP map as a field system (GA028–021). No trace of the field system survives aboveground at the site and the area of the proposed development had been previously disturbed by construction work associated with the existing farm buildings. Land-reclamation work undertaken in the 1990s has removed all trace of the field systems, although a holy well (GA028–043) survives to the east of the existing sheds. Two test-trenches were mechanically excavated, revealing no artefacts or features of archaeological significance.
