Monitoring and survey were carried out in May 2008 on the Grand Canal, a protected structure, in advance of development works along the route of the N6 Galway to Ballinasloe Public Private Partnership Scheme at Pollboy, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. Monitoring works were completed in two phases and a detailed survey followed, which entailed hand drawings and total station recording. Over 75 contexts were identified and a section drawing detailing these was produced.
