Monitoring was carried out at the construction of Stage II of the residual landfill site at Killaghmore, Co. Galway. In May 2005 monitoring associated with the first stage of the construction of the landfill identified a souterrain in the southern section of the site (Excavations 2005, No. 614, 05E0609). The monitoring of Stage II revealed no features or artefacts of archaeological significance.
