Trial-trenching was carried out in the National University of Ireland campus, in advance of the development of a proposed Human Biology building on 10 and 14 July 2008. The development site is in the vicinity of an unclassified earthwork, no trace of which survives. Three trial-trenches were excavated at the site and nothing of archaeological interest was discovered.
