The site forms part of a block bounded by North King Street and Brunswick Street. The remainder of the block has recently been developed with attendant archaeological monitoring (Excavations 2005, No. 449, 05E0923). No archaeological finds of interest were made on the larger developed site. Following demolition of the terrace of houses (St Patrick’s Terrace) at George’s Lane, a single trench was excavated by mechanical excavator under supervision. The trench measured 1m in width and was dug to a depth of 0.6m, when subsoil was encountered. No archaeological finds or features were present.
