Initial excavation of the foundations of the extension to the rear of 13 Sandycove Road, Sandycove, Co. Dublin, was carried out without the presence of a qualified archaeologist. However, ground reduction within the footprint of the extension was subsequently monitored. The site is located about 38m north of the site of a megalithic tomb (DU023–018). Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered during the monitored groundworks.
