Testing was undertaken prior to the development of the proposed Belmayne School. The development area is located within former demesne lands associated with Balgriffin Park House (now demolished). A total of sixteen test-trenches were opened across the area of development. Natural subsoils were identified within all the trenches, and no features or deposits of archaeological significance were identified.
