An archaeological evaluation was carried out prior to the proposed construction of 3 residential dwellings on lands to the south of 87 Ardmillan Road, Ardmillan, Killinchy. One scheduled monument, DOW 017:031, a cup-marked stone, is located within the proposed development site.
A total of 6 test trenches were excavated across the site using a back-acting machine fitted with a toothless bucket.
No evidence of archaeological deposits was identified during the course of the evaluation.
