Testing was undertaken at the proposed site of a new development comprising two semi-detached houses immediately north of Raffeen Cottages in the townland of Raffeen, Monkstown, Co. Cork. The site fell within the zone of archaeological potential for CO087–017, a holy well. Six linear trenches were excavated across the footprint of the proposed development. No features or finds were uncovered.
