It was proposed to build a new house and garage/stables. The site lay adjacent to CO051–143, a possible ringfort. The development lay within the demarcation circle. The proposal was designed to avoid direct impact on the monument and the area of the enclosure was to be maintained as open space. Four test-trenches were excavated in the area of the proposed dwelling and two in the garage/stables area. The testing did not reveal any features or finds of archaeological significance.
