Testing was carried out on this site in Kill-Saint-Anne South, Castlelyons, following an assessment and geophysical survey (carried out by Target Archaeological Geophysics, 08R78). The geophysical survey revealed no definitive archaeological patterns and suggested the site had been previously disturbed. Eleven test-trenches were excavated across the site focusing on the anomalies highlighted in the geophysical survey and the northern portion of the site which it is proposed to develop. No features or finds of archaeological significance were revealed in the trenches.
