Eight test-trenches were excavated at this proposed development site on a former playing field. The stratigraphy at the site consisted generally of mid-brown stony topsoil, 0.2–0.3m deep, over orange/brown to yellow/grey clay subsoil. No finds or features of archaeological significance were recorded at the proposed development site.
