It was proposed to construct a cattle house with slatted slurry tanks and feeding passage, two aprons, concrete cow path and associated site at Dromasta, Drimoleague. A pair of standing stones was incorporated in a field fence within the modern farmyard. An assessment and testing aimed at safeguarding the stones and their setting was requested. Three trenches were excavated roughly on the footprint of the proposed new farm buildings. The soil profile was similar in all three trenches and no features of potential archaeological significance were apparent.
