Pre-development test excavation was carried out on 30 September 2008 in advance of the construction of a slatted cubicle house and concrete yards within the zone of archaeological potential of a ringfort at Derryleigh, Clondrohid. Six test-trenches were excavated. The stratigraphy consisted of between 0.2m and 0.5m of grey/brown clayey loam overlying a grey gravelly boulder clay. No archaeological features or finds were noted.
