A pre-development assessment, including testing, of the proposed development site at Courtstown, Littleisland, Co. Cork was undertaken in response to a planning condition. There are no known sites within the proposed development site, though it is located close to the zone of archaeological potential for Courtstown Castle (site of) (CO075–025). Five test-trenches were excavated across the site. No features of finds of archaeological interest were exposed within the test-trenches.
