Trial-trenching was carried out at the site at the rear of Main Street, Kilfenora, on 15 May 2008, in advance of the redevelopment of the site. The site was located on the south-western side of Kilfenora Cathedral. Three trial-trenches were excavated at the site and nothing of archaeological significance was recovered.
