The site was located close to the northern limit of the zone of archaeological potential for a wedge tomb at Drummin, Broadford. Testing was carried out in advance of the construction of an agricultural building. A total of four trenches were excavated at the site of the proposed development. The stratigraphy consisted of a 0.15m deep layer of topsoil overlying a 0.3m layer of subsoil. The trenches were excavated down to the natural, a reddish-orange clay interspersed with spreads of grey clay and gravel. Nothing of archaeological significance was identified during the testing.
