Testing was undertaken at the site of a proposed agricultural-related development in September 2008. There is a ringfort (CA025–036) located a minimum of 70m to the south-east of the site. A total of fifteen trenches of varying length and orientation were excavated within the boundaries of the site and nothing of archaeological interest was uncovered.
