Work took place on 30 June 2008. The site was for an extension to the rear of a 19th-century property in the centre of Ballycastle. Monitoring of the foundation trenches took place. The trenches measured an average of 0.8m wide and 1m in depth to a subsoil of compact mid-orangey-brown sandy silt. This was overlaid by substantial rubble remains within the garden of the property. Nothing of archaeological significance was found.
