Test-trenching, in advance of planning permission for a private housing development, revealed the presence of spreads possibly reflective of Early Christian archaeology. Sherds of souterrain ware and green-glazed earthenware were recovered from the surface of a dark-brown spread. The site is located close to the projected location of a medieval church and these spreads are possibly associated. Archaeological investigation has been put on hold at this site.
