Testing took place at Kilacloran, Aughrim, in February 2007, associated with the redevelopment of agricultural buildings. The site is situated on an elevated south-facing slope, at the west of a farmyard. The site is within the archaeological constraint area of an enclosure site. A single trench was excavated, aligned north-west/south-east, by a back-acting mechanical excavator. The trench measured 28.5m by 1m. No features of archaeological or historical interest were identified.
