Testing at this site was carried out in response to a request from the local authority. The site contains WX047–028, which is listed as a penal church or mass house. Testing revealed the remains of walls, which are likely to belong to the mass house, and an enclosing ditch that contained sherds of medieval coarseware. This suggests that the mass house is situated within an earlier enclosure.
