The excavation was undertaken in advance of development involving construction of the N52 Clonmore link road. Excavated features included a corn-drying kiln of possible late first/early second millennium AD date. Adjacent to this were four post-holes, a subrectangular pit and potential work area. Several pieces of flint and chert debitage were also recovered.
