This site was excavated as part of the pre-construction archaeological mitigation of the N25 Waterford bypass, alternative route. Woodstown 9 consisted of a single pit cut into the subsoil that contained a fragment of iron. It measured 1.1m by 0.9m by 0.28m. A large tree bole and a shallow field drain were also recorded within the site.
