Testing was undertaken in March and August 2007 in response to planning permission for the construction of a retail development as the site lies within the historic town of Waterford, WA009–005. Nothing of archaeological significance was found. The presence of mainly post-medieval pottery and glass suggests that intrusion into this site was extensive in the past two centuries, probably due to levelling of the site for construction purposes of the current buildings.
