The Waterford main drainage scheme is situated in Waterford city on both sides of the River Suir. Monitoring of all subsurface works on the scheme is ongoing for Waterford City Council.
During monitoring, the site of a burnt mound associated with two gold bracelets of late Bronze Age date came to light at Ballymaclode. This was excavated between September and October 2006 by Dave Pollock for Judith Carroll & Co. (Excavations 2006, No. 1968, 06E0990). Nothing of archaeological interest came to light in 2007.
