Pre-development testing of a development site at Coolfin and Guilcagh townlands, Portlaw, Co. Waterford, was undertaken as a condition of planning permission. The development consisted of the construction of eight dwelling houses and associated services on a greenfield site and was not located near any known monuments. Six test-trenches were excavated throughout the site and no archaeological finds, features or deposits were uncovered.
