The work was undertaken to determine the archaeological potential of an area of ancillary works associated with the N7 Nenagh to Limerick dual carriageway. The development site is located in the townland of Gortnaskehy, Chainage 18600–20500, and to the north of Kilnacranna Bridge. Eleven trenches were excavated on the site. No archaeology was identified during testing.
