Excavation continued on this site, during two periods in January and May 2007, in advance of the construction of the M8/N8 Cullahill to Cashel road scheme. Prior excavation of this site was carried out by Valerie J. Keeley Ltd in 2006 of all available lands (Excavations 2006, No. 1867); however, two areas (Area 5 and 6) were resolved in 2007.
Assessment was undertaken in January of Area 5, which overlapped an area previously tested in advance of construction of the N8 Cashel bypass. Nothing of archaeological significance was revealed in testing.
Monitoring of Area 6 took place in May, in an area bounded by the Cashel bypass to the east and adjacent to a ringfort (TS061–003) and excavated enclosure site, AR 1/E2356 (Excavations 2006, No. 1866). Excavation of Area 6 revealed a pit or hearth, with post-holes, plus a number of field boundaries and drains and a tree bole.
