This site was excavated as part of the archaeological resolution of the route of the N7 Castletown–Nenagh road scheme. A burnt mound was present in the centre of the site, the south of which was truncated. The mound was irregular in shape and measured 6.36m (north-east/south-west) by 4m and 0.16m deep. Beneath the mound was a rectangular trough measuring 2.5m (north-west/south-east) by 1.8m by 0.27m deep, which yielded a flint scraper. An oval pit, measuring 2.5m (north-west/south-east) by 1.8m by 0.27m, truncated a third subrectangular trough, measuring 2m (north-west/south-east) by 1.8m by 0.37m deep, adjacent to the north-west. All three troughs contained similar fills of burnt stone and a layer of rich charcoal in the lower fills, beneath clay deposits.

North of the burnt mound was an amorphic burnt spread measuring 3.64m (north-west/south-east) by 2.7m by 0.12m deep. Adjacent to the west was a shallow circular pit measuring 0.5m in diameter by 0.06m deep. In the west of the site was a sub-oval pit measuring 1.11m (north–south) by 0.8m by 0.07m deep. Both these shallow pits contained burnt-mound material. Most of the features were cut by north–south-oriented plough furrows.
