Testing was carried out following geophysical survey (07R0041). The site lies at the edge of the constraint zone of archaeological potential for the town of Bansha, TS067–101, and includes the standing remains of a circular medieval tower thought to be associated with a demolished tower-house. No features or finds of an archaeological nature were uncovered in any of the trenches opened.
