This site was excavated as part of the archaeological resolution of the route of the N7 Castletown–Nenagh road scheme.
Four pits were uncovered on this site. The pit farthest to the north was oval in plan and measured 0.42m (east–west) by 0.25m and 0.07m deep. It had steeply sloping sides and an uneven rounded base. It contained a loose brown/grey sandy silt with moderate charcoal flecks and yielded nine sherds of Bronze Age pottery. A circular post-hole was adjacent to the south-west, measuring 0.19m in diameter and 0.19m deep, and was pointed in profile. Both of these features were partially disturbed by root activity. A shallow oval spread was located to the west of the site. This spread contained a similar fill to the other features and measured 1.15m (north–south) by 1.05m and 0.04m deep. An oval pit with steep and irregular sides and a pointed base was found close to the southern limit of the excavation. This measured 0.59m (east–west) by 0.4m and 0.29m deep. The fill was composed of dark-grey/brown clayey silt with very occasional charcoal flecks, similar to the other contexts on the site. Aside from the pottery, no other finds were discovered.
