The work was undertaken to determine the archaeological potential of an area of ancillary works associated with the N7 Nenagh to Limerick dual carriageway. The proposed development site is located in the townland of Ballyard, Chainage 11 15002111800. The site lies c. 1km to the south-west of a zone of archaeological potential for a fulacht fiadh (possible). Eighteen trenches were excavated on the proposed development site. No archaeology was identified during testing.
