A condition of planning associated with an industrial development at Finisklin, Co. Sligo, required testing as part of an assessment. Two trenches, measuring 40m by 1.2m, were excavated using a mechanical excavator. The stratigraphy consisted of sod and topsoil overlying a sticky natural clay. Nothing of archaeological significance was encountered.
