Test-trenching was carried out in advance of the construction of an extension to a slatted house, calving box, calf creep shed and associated site works. The site lies within the zone of potential for the site of a Jacobean house (RO054–033), of which no visible surface trace survives. A total of four test-trenches, oriented north–south and measuring 20m in maximum length, were excavated. Nothing of a potential archaeological significance was discovered during this work.
