Three test-trenches were opened on the imprint of an extension to a commercial building fronting Main Street, Roscommon. Main Street is in the central part of the historic town of Roscommon. A total of seven features were uncovered in the course of the testing works. All were considered to be of modern provenance, with nothing discovered dating prior to the late 19th century.
