Ten test-trenches were excavated at the rear of the building to east of Main Street, Roscommon. Nothing turned up except for a fragmentary, very small section of wall close to the north edge of the site. Too little of this wall survived to enable dating and no associated finds or features were recovered here or elsewhere. It appears likely that this wall would turn north-north-east/south-south-west and probably extends into the neighbouring garden to the north.
