Glebe Bog was surveyed as part of the Peatland Survey 2007. The bog is situated within the Bord na Móna Blackwater group, east of the River Shannon. It is located 4.5km north-west of Ferbane and is bounded to the north by the River Blackwater, a tributary of the River Shannon, and to the east, south and west by low-lying dry land. The bog is overlooked by Endrim Hill, to the east. The bog is 640ha in size with 66 production fields and was not in production at the time of survey. Drains were cut and vegetation was removed from the field surfaces but low scrub had grown back in some areas. No archaeological features were uncovered during the survey.
