Assessment was required in advance of the construction of a large complex, including a swimming pool, by Trim Sports and Leisure. The site was formerly the GAA pitch.
Five test-trenches, a total of 220 linear metres, were excavated. No material of an archaeological nature was disclosed in the test-trenches. Monitoring of groundworks at the construction phase was recommended and carried out. No material of an archaeological nature was disclosed by the monitor.
