The site, at Rathmae, Oldcastle, is located immediately north-east of ME014–008, a rectilinear enclosure, and ME014–007, a bivallate ringfort. Assessment was carried out in 2006 (Excavations 2006, No. 1627), and monitoring at the construction phase was recommended. The monitor was carried out under an extension to the licence. No material of an archaeological nature was disclosed by the monitor.
