This site, located within Contract 2 (Dunshaughlin–Navan) of the proposed M3 Clonee to North of Kells motorway, was identified during testing by Paul Stevens in 2004 (Excavations 2004, No. 1201, 04E0429) and was excavated between February and April and September and October 2007. A series of large kilns of unknown date were located on the south-east side of a hill. The entire hill had been enclosed by a series of shallow ditches, probably in the Bronze Age; these ditches did not appear to define a habitation area. A shattered skull positioned on top of some burnt stone was located in one of the ditches.
