A narrow pipe trench was excavated in the road running through areas of constraint associated with two wedge tombs, MA044–005 and MA044–006. Pipe laying took place as part of emergency works for a local water supply. Monitoring took place as the pipe trench bypassed each monument and during groundworks in the general vicinity. Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered during the monitoring.
