The Church of Ireland, Ballymascanlan Union, applied to Louth County Council for permission to extend the existing graveyard to the north. Assessment was required.
Five test-trenches were excavated. Two linear features and a possible pit were disclosed by the testing. Investigation of the features by hand did not reveal any evidence to enable dating or interpretation of the features. The proposed graveyard extension would impact on the features.
