Test-trenching was undertaken in relation to the proposed construction of a single-storey dwelling house, garage, entrance and boundary walls, proprietary wastewater treatment system and percolation area and associated site works at Knockainy West, Hospital, Co. Limerick, located within the zone of archaeological potential for the historic town of Knockainy. Eight trenches were machine excavated around the footprint of the proposed development. No finds or features of archaeological significance were uncovered.
