An assessment by means of test-trenching was conducted at French Church Street, Portarlington, on 10 July 2007. The proposed development is located within the zone of archaeological potential associated with LA005–031, the town of Portarlington. Three test-trenches were excavated at the location of the proposed development. No archaeological features were discovered during the assessment.
